When You Become Bored in Your Everyday Routine
What do you think of when you hear someone say that they want to do things for God? Go on mission trips, serve in the church, and so on?
Well today I’m here to tell you to quit looking for things to do for God, and just start doing things like God would. This way, no matter where you go or what you do, big or small, you’re still doing God’s will.
My friend Camryn Harris has dreams of traveling somewhere around the world and possibly even doing missions. However she’s discovered many important needs for God right here in Florence.
From starting a bible study in her sorority at FMU to being challenged by atheist professors during class, Camryn has learned that there are many different beliefs and interpretations just in her own hometown and they must all be respected.
Camryn told me, "I must treat every single person I come across with the same
way I would want them to come up to me and start questioning my faith. I learned that
everyone feels the same way about their beliefs as Christians do about our God."
Look where God has planted you right now. Maybe He hasn’t moved you because you haven’t invested in those around you yet. It’s like in a game, you start with the easiest level then work your way up. Yes people are difficult, and believe it or not you'll find a few like that even if you go across seas.
Your goal and top priority no matter where you’re at in life, no matter what you’ve accomplished, or where you’ve come from is to grow God’s kingdom by being a reflection of Jesus. Whether that looks like feeding starving children in Africa or running back outside in the rain to offer somebody an umbrella, let's just do the dang thang. One may get you a better Instagram picture, but if that’s all you’re doing it for, you might want to check your heart. I know for a fact that God is creative and has a mission with your name on it. Don't believe me?
1 Corinthians 2:9 reads, "No eye has seen or ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for the people that love Him."
